Sulawesi has a total bird count of 350 species, with 4 categories classified: residents 127, endemic 88, migrants 97, and counted as residents or migrants 32. These numbers exclude Sangihe and Talaud, Banggai and Sula islands. Sangihe has 3 endemics, Talaud has 2 endemics, and Banggai has 2 endemics. From the 88 endemic birds of the island, Lore Lindu National Park has the highest number with c. 72, Dumoga Bone 51, and Tangkoko 38 species. Two or three other endemic birds are found in South Sulawesi.

Day 1 : Makassar/Ujungpandang Airport  Arrival
Pick up and transfer to hotel in makassar. Locate in losari beach. Dinner at local restaurant , sea food.

Day 2 : Makassar – Bira
Drive to Bira, stop for visit traditional boat construction in Tana beru village, famous for it’s wood boat phinisi. Check in to hotel Anda bungalow. afternoon leisure at white sandy beach.

Day 3 : Bira – Sengkang
Style enjoy the beach until time to departure to Sengkang, locate on side of Tempe lake. On the way stop for visit the rubber plantation. late afternoon arrive at hotel ( simple ).

Day 4 : Sengkang – Rantepao / toraja Land
Depart early to tempe lake by motor canoe to discover the fascinate of lake, his fauna with many kinds of birds . visit the floating local village.
Return and departure to Toraja land crossing the mountain route with the beautiful scenery during the way. Arrive in toraja in the afternoon. check in to hotel Toraja misiliana 3*.

Day 5 and 6 : Toraja land
Breakfast,  you have 2 days for discover this fascinate land with organize by local guide and will participate you to the one of the funeral ceremony.
Visit the village of Kete and palawa, with their traditional houses called Tongkonan, visit the stone grave of lemo with the states, royal grave at suaya and hanging coffin at londa.  and also you will visit the traditional market of Rantepao or makele.
Afternoon , becak ride around the town. stay at hotel Toraja misiliana.

Day 7 : Toraja land ( Rantepao – Batutumonga )
Breakfast, continue the visit, then transfer to the village of Akung or lempo for hiking with crossing the traditional villages with terraces rice field and bamboo forest. Stay at toraja house offer you the the wonderful panorama of terraces rice field.

Day 8 : Toraja land ( Batutumonga – Rantepao )
Breakfast, return to rantepao by easy  trek down by crossing village with fantastic panorama. afternoon return to hotel toraja misiliana.

Day 9 : Rantepao – Pendolo
Breakfast, departure to the central sulawesi with 7 hours drive include stop  stay at simple hotel in lake side of poso.

Day 10 : Pendolo – Tentena / siury cottage
Breakfast,  on the way  you will hunt the orchid and if you lucky you will meet the babi rusa. swim at the lake. Afternoon you will visit the waterfall of saluopa with possible to trek around. stay at siury cottage.

Day 11 : Tentena – Ampana
Breakfast,  departure to Ampana  ( 5 hours drive ). Stay at Marisa or oasis ( simple ).

Day 12 : Ampana – Togian island
Transfer by public boat to togian island. stay at kalidiri paradise, the beautiful island of togian, clean, quite, likely paradise. unforgettable trip. stay at bungalow.

Day 13 and 14 : Togian island
You have full board at hotel, snorkeling, diving or many other activities to do during your stay.

Day 15 : Togian – ampana – pagimana – Gorontalo
Return by public boat to Ampana and drive to pagimana for the ferry to Gorontalao / if the schedule of boat from Togian directly to Gorontalo, it’s more easy and not so far. But the schedule is some time one time a week.

Day 16 : Gorontalo – Manado
Drive by car to Gorontalo with many stop on the way for photo and enjoy the panorama. Late afternoon arrive at hotel in Tomohon,  near by lokon and mahawu volcanoes.

Day 17 : Tomohon
Breakfast, easy climb to Mahawu volcanoes, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of lokon volcanoes and minahasa region. Then nice route to Tondano lake. lunch at local restaurant locate in lake side. Afternoon climb to lokon volcanoes. return to hotel.

Day 18 : Tomohon – Tangkoko – Manado
Visit the traditional house minahasa construction then to Waruga cemetery, the route to Tangkoko national parc to discover the black maccaq, monkey, and tarsius . Late afternoon arrive at hotel in Manado.

Day 19 and 20 : Bunaken island
You will have 2 days to snorkeling or diving in bunaken island, siladen. the famous marine  park in the word. Stay at Bastianos dive center or similar.

Day 21 : Manado - Departure
Transfer to the airport for your next destination flight.
